Curiosity Shop S1 E17 How Come I Can't Remember What I Was Told Not to Forget Last Episode 1 8
Curiosity Shop was an American children's educational television program produced by ABC. The show was executive produced by veteran Looney Tunes director/animator Chuck Jones, sponsored by the Kellogg's cereal company and created as a commercial rival to the successful public television series Sesame Street. Curiosity Shop premiered on September 2, 1971. The last first run episode aired on January 8, 1972. At the end of the shows run, all of the tapes were destroyed, with only two episodes known to survive. Both of these episodes are black and white 16mm film kinescope copies and are the property of the Toon Tracker Film Archive. I am uploading both episodes for historical research purpo...

    Any chance of episode 11 surfacing? Chuck Jones' Curiosity Shop (1971) Episode 11 "But What's Leonardo da Vinci Flown Lately?" aired the short "Certain Prophecies", A.K.A., "Bizonyos jóslatok" (1967) (1968 in some sources) by Hungarian stop animator Ottó Foky. It's a combination of stop motion and live action where little aliens or alien robots land their tiny UFO on a table in a restaurant right after a dining party has left the table but before the dirty dishes have been cleared away. They explore the table like it's the surface of an alien planet. I've been trying to find this short again since... well... since 1971.

      From what is known, no copies of that episode exist. There is a Viewmaster booklet summarizing the episode out there, but it makes no mention of this short. Hopefully it shows up one day!

    So this is Alan Reed's final performance. Wow, what a legend, great Fred to the end. You can actually hear Fred's voice switch actors in this by the way. I guess Alan wasn't able to finish this one :(

      Henry Corden did his singing voice so unless he did some speaking lines as well, I'm pretty sure that Alan did all of his speaking lines.

    • @stevenshockley4237
      @stevenshockley4237 5 месяцев назад

      Pretty sure that's right. There's a "spoken" line during the first lil bit where Fred sings for 2 lines. The 2 voices are so different, but they both work for Fred. Nobody can top Alan for me though@stephenholloway6893

    In this tragic release of ep.1 WITHOUT SHIRLEY JONES, they kinda slipped up by leaving in a Shirley Jones reference....The elephant puppet sings “76 trombones”, a big song from “The Music Man” of which Shirley Jones was the star. 😮

I love Casper, the little friendly ghost, Spooky, the mischievous little ghost, Wendy the good little witch, Nightmare the friendly female horse, and the Ghostly Trio! And all the friendly little forest animals and trees! I love when Casper returns the little baby bluebird back to the bird nest!
